One of the pieces for my IB HL art exhibition, inspired by Lichtenstein's cartoon strip pieces from the 60s. I love the way he and Warhol both used the advertising techniques of the industry to make a comment on the industry itself.

NOTE: I'm not taking a stab at iPods—I own one myself! They're just such a tech/social phenomenon that I couldn't let it go without commentary.

Btw, the workmen destroyed it bringing it back from the art gallery, huge black scratches all over it. Unfixable. Oh well.

Wish there was a ruler for this sort of thing...

cheers! i'm not very upset about the destruction of it though... once the ib art exam/interview/exhibition/cocktail party and viewing was all over it had sort of served its purpose. took me forever though, i'm really anal about getting the strokes all neat and stuff *stabs painting*
